Business Proposal: Netflix New Unit
This business proposal indicates the needs of, and suggests, creating a new unit within Netflix.
The unit will strategically identify entertainment extensions opportunities and partnerships with external businesses to design and provide a more immersive experience for audiences who crave more from their favorite Netflix shows.
The whole story starts with me
---- binge-watched the Netflix's Squid Game series.
When I was watching the show, I feel superb:D
But after finishing it, I feel... sad because I WANT MORE!!!
After finishing the show, I paid more attention to the show-related content on social media, I recommended the show to my friends, and I even ended up spending hundreds to produce a dance video project derived from the show -- JUST FOR FUN
The Audience Wants More
In the research process, I realized that I am not insane/(alone), millions of people have included Squid Game-related content in their entertaining activities, social media feeds, creative content creation, etc.
Netflix certainly realized the opportunity of extending its content to the merchandise market as they launched their Netflix Shop and established a partnership with Walmart and Casetify in 2021. But still, so much "co-created" content derived from the Netflix series is going viral.
And Netflix has not yet taken full advantage of its original content.
